Los Muros de Mexico / The Walls of Mexico
While traveling through Mexico in 2018, 218-RP-2 started playfully making slow motion videos in front of the numerous colorful walls defining the streets, homes, shops, and historic sites of Mexico. Inspired by people and place, we quickly realized the greater significance of our actions: Mexico already has strong walls, let's celebrate that!
The Facebook and Instagram pages affiliated with this project (@losmurosdemexico) are places to share the beauty and strength of Mexico through its stunning walls. By engaging with locals, arts organizations, and tourists, 218-RP-2 invited individuals and groups to collaboratively plaster the digital walls of social media with the standing walls, historical infrastructure and ultimately, the people that connect Mexico, The US, and the rest of the world.
